Join us to manke an impact in the world
More than 57 million primary-school-age children are not enrolled in school; 53 percent of these are girls.
These children are at greater risk for exploitation, early marriage, and lower income-earning potential. We address barriers to education and work with communities and local governments to improve the quality of education children receive. -
Poverty in Africa has been rising for the last quarter-century, while it has been falling in the rest of the developing world. Africa's distinctive problem is that its economies have not been growing.
We focus our work in some of Africa’s most distressed and under-served communities, where poverty is high and opportunities are limited. We address poverty and hunger n Africa and working towards ending them. We also respond to disasters that occur right in Afica.
Our youth empowerment program encourage children and young people to take charge of their lives. We do this by addressing their situation and then take action in order to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes.
We promote inclusive youth participation in effective and democratic governance; economic empowerment of youth and; strengthened youth engagement in building resilience in their communities and
inclusion of youth in the future development agenda, including through consultations and discussions.
